Now that I’m graduating and have a job, I’ll be adding more scope to this blog. One of the things I’ve been interested in getting into here is career development. I’ve worked as a career counselor for two years while in business school, and have reviewed more than three hundred resumes.

So, when I noticed the debut of Indeed, I thought it would be a good time to branch out. Indeed.com is an aggregate job search engine. It searches hundreds of job sites, including CareerBuilder and Monster. So, rather than search each independently, you can one-stop-search.

Indeed also improves searching taxonomy. There are two search fields, company/position/keyword and location. Even if you have a job, you’ll be interested in the RSS saved search feature. With this you can use your RSS reader to monitor job openings at a certain company or field. Here’s an example of a feed to monitor job postings for a graphic designer, with the keyword Mac.
